Opening its doors over 45 years ago, FSSI is a leading document outsourcing company servicing Fortune 500 companies in the financial, banking, insurance and billing industries across the U.S. FSSI East Inc. is looking for a full-time Operations (Production) Support to join our 1st shift team in Lincoln, Rhode Island. This position is responsible for general support to the production departments. This includes cross-training and filling in for various positions due to vacations, call outs or high-volume days, in addition to performing standard daily operational duties.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (1st shift). Overtime is scheduled as needed, and could require coming in earlier, staying later, and working weekend shifts during high-volume production cycles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist or provide coverage in Mailing and Quality Assurance.
  • Successful and accurate operation of large mailing equipment.
  • Moving stock and materials from warehouse to assigned location on the Inserter.
  • Signing off on mail pieces throughout the Inserting cycle.
  • Learn to operate Mailroom Inserters well enough to fill in on an as-needed basis.
  • Copying and scanning documentation if required.
  • Follow company policies and safety regulations.
  • Report unsafe facility and vehicle issues to management.
  • Perform other duties assigned dependent on the changing needs of the organization.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, and frequently working 10 or more hours per day, is required on a recurring basis.

Qualifications:

  • Effective written and oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • PC literacy with intermediate level knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must possess strong customer service philosophy and attitude.
  • Work effectively and independently, and effectively work with all levels of employees.
  • Must be flexible with shift and available overtime.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Education and/or Relevant Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be well organized and have strong time management skills.
  • Must handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and/or fingers to grasp, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear; stand, walk, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift/move up to 40 pounds independently. Specific vision required by this job includes close, distant, and peripheral vision, and focus adjustments.
