This is the role where you become the Tax Advisor everyone turns to! Clients call you first when they have a tax question. Partners check with you before they give advice. You own the relationships and work across the full range of personal and corporate tax for a broad general practice client base. No two weeks look the same, and the pace matches that: quick access to Partners, quick decisions, quick impact. We've partnered exclusively with a highly regarded independent accountancy practice in Central London on a Tax Manager appointment. They need an experienced Tax Manager who can step in as the firm’s trusted tax authority. This is a strategic seat. It is a hands on, client-facing role built around ownership. You will handle a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and private clients where the questions change daily, and you move comfortably between different tax situations. Ideal for someone who loves variety and autonomy! What this role involves Acting as the primary tax contact for owner-managed businesses and private clients Delivering a mix of compliance, planning and advisory work Operating with a high degree of independence while working closely with the Partners, who are approachable, commercially minded and invested in the development of their team. Building long term client relationships Broadening your existing experience and gaining further exposure across different areas of tax Review work, share knowledge and support the development of more junior members of the team Join a collaborative team where technical excellence, knowledge sharing and professional development are embedded in the culture Paid overtime, flexible start and finish times, and a firm that prioritises quality, professionalism and sustainable careers About You Qualified CTA or ATT is useful, but not essential Substantial, well rounded UK tax experience across both personal and corporate tax, gained within professional practice Strong client-facing ability and the judgement to work independently Experience managing a varied portfolio of clients Ability to interpret and apply UK tax legislation to practical client situations An appetite for variety and a track record of strong client service Please note: You must already have full right to work in the UK. This role is not sponsored. If you want a role where trust isn't something you earn over years but something you're handed on day one, this could be it!
