Skematic, a business unit of Financial Recovery Technologies, is a rapidly growing startup providing a comprehensive Compliance workflow management solution in the RegTech space. Primarily serving hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital firms since 2021, Skematic is breaking barriers to offer a solution to drive efficiencies for compliance teams navigating the ever-changing complexities of regulation in capital markets.

We are seeking a Business Development Representative in the UK to drive Skematic's regional sales efforts and grow our market share in EMEA in the compliance space. Specifically, as a Business Development Representative - UK at Skematic, you will:

  • Drive revenue growth by generating leads and securing meetings so our sales execs can focus on closing deals.
  • Make a high volume of cold calls each day to prospects.
  • Grow Skematic’s market share by seeking out opportunities and converting prospects into qualified leads.
  • Set appointments for AE’s & CRO and track metrics and performance against set targets.
  • Work internally with the sales management and marketing teams to ensure proper quality and quantity of all communications with prospects.
  • Maintain a high level of competence using sales sequencing and CRM tools.

Successful hire will have a clear career trajectory to a Sales Executive position with the company. To get there, a candidate should possess:

  • Previous experience in a high-volume outbound sales role (preferred);
  • Experience working in Financial Services, RegTech, Compliance, or Fintech and selling to those (preferred);
  • A desire to make money for Skematic and themselves;
  • A track record of high achievement and the desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals.
  • Self-starter mentality with an ability to deal with and thrive on objections and rejection daily.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The utmost professionalism, conducting yourself with a positive demeanor.
  • The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment with peers who challenge you to be better.
  • Self-directed and detail-oriented work ethic, with strong analytical, problem solving, and creative thinking skills.

THIS POSITION IS BASED IN GREATER LONDON. Candidates should have the ability to commute to the Marylebone office 3x a week. Salary: base salary is experience dependent and can range from £48,000 - £58,000 a year + commission.
