We are a small, growing financial planning firm with 11 people, privately owned, and in the middle of a planned transition. By 2029, the founders will step back from day to day client management, with responsibility moving to the next generation of advisers and leaders.
We are hiring an adviser who wants a long-term career, not just a seat. Someone who understands that looking after clients is still a sales role, selling the relationship, earning trust, and retaining value, even when clients are handed to you. This is not a business development role. You will not be expected to bring a client bank with you. You will be given clients and expected to manage them properly.
The role:
- Managing an existing client bank including lower value, high touch clients and higher value clients who genuinely need planning
- Ongoing client relationship management, reviews, and retention
- Playing a role in firm-wide projects including:
- Client charging review
- Client management process review
- Building a proposition for clients in their 30s
The environment:
- Small firm, no corporate layers
- Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 at home
- Core hours 10am to 4pm
- Team-focused culture. No egos. No passengers.
The person:
- Confident without being brash
- Comfortable with client-facing responsibility
- Understands that even servicing existing clients requires commercial awareness
- Genuinely wants a career and progression, not just a job title
- Works well in a small team and contributes beyond their own desk
- Social media skills are a strong advantage, particularly LinkedIn and YouTube
