The Company
The client is an established Investment Management firm.
The Role
The Financial Planner will focus on managing HNW clients. Partly office based but also visiting clients in and around London, or could also cover the South East region. The Financial Planner will be preparing technical wealth planning and regulated advice recommendations, consistent with best advice and internal policies and procedures. The Financial Planner will nurture client relationships and will complete fact finding on existing plans and policies and will be understanding of client objectives. The Financial Planner will prepare cash flow plans and work with the adviser to develop different scenarios and strategies and write Financial Review and Wealth Strategy documents. The Financial Planner will research and analyse existing solutions making recommendations focusing on in-depth advice (new business, replacement business, transfers).
Wealth Planning Product areas include:
- Investments including a centralised investment proposition
- Pensions including consolidation DB transfers
- Protection (life cover and IHT planning)
- EIS and VCT
- Wealth structuring (IHT planning, Life wrappers)
The Financial Planner will write recommendation reports, prepare associated paperwork, attend client meetings and oversee advice through to implementation. There will be solid paraplanning support provided. The Financial Planner will build further client relationships and will maintain market awareness of new products coming to market and keep up to date on legislative and product changes.
The Candidate
5 years+ relevant experience in giving regulated financial advice - financial planning/wealth planning with proven ability to talk confidently, present and apply technical knowledge to client situations in a high net worth private client environment. Minimum Level 4 Financial Planning Diploma qualified and working towards or already Chartered status. Knowledge of cash flow modelling tools. High level of product knowledge (investments, pensions and protection). Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise and multi-task. Strong interpersonal skills and good written and verbal communication. Attention to detail and confidence with numbers.
