Contract: Fixed Term– 12 months.

As a senior member of our Business Intelligence (BI) team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how data and reporting are used across the organisation. You’ll help ensure that high-quality, accessible information is at the heart of decision-making, enabling teams to act with confidence and clarity.
This is a highly visible role where your technical expertise in Power BI will be combined with strong stakeholder engagement skills. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business to rapidly understand their needs, translate them into clear reporting solutions, and deliver intuitive dashboards and insights that add real value.
Working collaboratively, you’ll work with stakeholders to ensure outputs are practical, accurate, and fit for purpose. You’ll also support and mentor analysts within the team, helping to drive consistency and best practice across reporting.
As a trusted BI expert, you’ll build strong relationships across the organisation, ensuring teams have the data insights they need to make informed decisions. You’ll act as a go-to specialist for resolving issues and driving improvements in our BI environment, and step in to support leadership when required.
What You’ll Do:
- Be our “go to” person for issues that need resolving or solutions finding on BI systems such as Power BI.
- Play a key role in ensuring high-quality, reliable reporting supports decision-making across the organisation.
- Be seen as a subject matter expert in Power BI, responsible for designing and delivering accurate, user-friendly solutions that meet business needs.
- Translate requirements into effective reporting, lead discussions, and present insights clearly and confidently.
- Support the wider team stepping in to lead when required, maintaining strong standards around data quality, governance, and documentation.
- Shape how reporting evolves across the organisation, suggesting improvements, supporting key projects, and enhancing how data is used day-to-day.
- Act as the go-to expert for resolving complex BI challenges, and help ensure our Power BI environment runs effectively.

Minimum Criteria:
- Extensive experience working with Power BI, SQL or DAX and other business intelligence software.
- Direct experience of the software development life cycle.
- Good technical knowledge and practical knowledge of providing reporting.
- Great communication skills, verbally and in writing.
- Capability to manage people if required.
- Translating business requirements into a technical reporting solution.
