Infrastructure Engineer (Collaboration and Identity)
Contract: Permanent
Working hours: 35 hours per week is full time. Where possible, we are open to considering part time/flexible working patterns. Please let us know in your application your desired working pattern.
Salary: Circa ÂŁ55,000
Reporting to: Infrastructure Collaboration and Identity Manager

Our permanent hybrid policy sees us all working at least four days across a fortnight in the office.
Using a “Cloud First” approach, our Infrastructure department provides the foundation for all IT services and delivers communication services for the organisation.
The Collaboration and Identity team sits within Infrastructure and provides core Identity (Active Directory, Entra, SSO) and Collaboration (Email, Telephony, MS Teams) technologies to the business.
You’ll be using advanced technical knowledge to resolve issues, continually drive improvements, and work on a variety of projects to make sure the systems in your area are working effectively and have the capability needed for the future.
Key responsibilities
- You will be the go-to person for anything related to the systems you are supporting, delivering support, maintenance, and improvements.
- Take ownership of technical development in your area and ensure SLAs for day-to-day support are met.
- Continuously updating your advanced technical knowledge.
- A strong communicator with the ability to build relationships and understand requirements and improvements that can be made.
Minimum Criteria:
Technical
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Microsoft Exchange Server (Including Exchange on-prem, online and hybrid configuration)
- Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies
- EntraID and EntraConnect
- MS Teams
- Outlook
- Email systems routing and configuration (DKIM, SPF, DMARC etc)
Soft Skills/Accreditations
- Well organised with strong attention to detail – you’ll be writing and maintaining design, installation and configuration documentation.
- Experience working in a technical team where you’ve been resolving technical problems, delivering upgrades and continuous improvements.
- Experienced in defining technical solutions to meet requirements – you’ll have carried out implementation and detailed level support.
- Fosters a culture of customer first, focuses on continual upskilling, and mentoring junior members of the team.
