About Us: The Financial Ombudsman Service is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that plays a vital role in UK financial services. Every day we help resolve disputes between consumers or small businesses and their financial service providers.
What You’ll Do: As a Talent Acquisition Adviser, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining candidate experience throughout a candidate journey – you are the front-line brand ambassadors. You will work directly with the Talent Acquisition Partners and colleagues to help provide the right number of people with the right skills to meet the organisation’s overall strategy. To help us find the very best talent, you will proactively identify suitable candidates using advanced internet sourcing techniques. Your ability to source the right talent will then allow you to sift and screen the highest calibre of candidates who apply through our applicant tracking system.
Minimum Criteria:
- Proven Talent Acquisition professional with a strong recruitment mindset, gained within a fast-paced in-house or agency environment.
- Demonstrated experience delivering volume and specialist recruitment, with the ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple roles simultaneously.
- Strong expertise in direct sourcing, including advanced use of LinkedIn as a talent pipeline and market-mapping tool, with a track record of filling hard-to-fill roles.
- Ability to use recruitment data and insights (sourcing metrics, time-to-hire, pipeline data) to inform decisions, influence stakeholders and continuously improve hiring outcomes.
- Experience working with applicant tracking systems and online recruitment tools.

- Having an understanding of employment legislations that affect recruitment, for example IR35 and sponsorships.
- Being people solutions oriented and having a proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work collaboratively to achieve results – having the drive to deliver the right outcomes and results.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software and Workday experience.
- Project management experience.
