What you’ll do
As Strategy Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the Financial Ombudsman Service’s strategic priorities. You’ll lead the development, implementation and evaluation of our organisational strategy, working closely with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams to ensure our long‑term objectives are met. Your work will involve facilitating strategy workshops, driving complex strategic projects, and producing key strategic communications, including board papers and contributions to annual and budget reports.
You’ll also coordinate internal and external research and analysis to inform our strategic direction, ensuring our strategic narrative is consistently reflected across corporate publications. Collaboration is central to this role, as you’ll engage with stakeholders across and beyond the organisation to support the definition and communication of our strategy and priorities.
Minimum criteria
- Proven experience in strategic planning, operational planning, or corporate strategy development within a complex organisation.
- Demonstrable track record of leading and delivering cross‑functional projects or programmes, working with senior stakeholders.
- Experience preparing strategic board papers or similar corporate publications, showing ability to synthesise and present complex information.
- Proficiency in using strategic planning tools, software, and data analysis methods to support evidence‑based decision‑making.
