Role Overview
Senior member of the Business Intelligence team, responsible for designing, developing and maintaining Power BI reporting solutions that support strategic decision‑making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders, translating business needs into clear, user‑friendly Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Design, build, test and deploy Power BI solutions, ensuring accuracy, performance and compliance with data governance standards.
- Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices in reporting and data quality.
- Act as the go‑to specialist for resolving complex BI challenges, optimising queries, managing capacity and access.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, presenting insights confidently and driving adoption of reporting tools.
- Support leadership by providing reporting expertise and advice on BI initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience with business intelligence software, preferably Power BI, and knowledge of the software development life cycle.
- Strong SQL skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to improving reporting processes.
- Experience managing people or projects is desirable.
- Strong team player, attention to detail, and project management skills.
