IT Asset Manager (Apprentice)

Contract: Initially a Fixed term contract for 24 months to cover the lifetime of the apprenticeship. Upon successful completion, a suitable permanent position may be offered.

Working hours: 35 hours per week, full time. As an apprentice, 20% of your time will be spent on off‑job learning.

Salary: £26,936 per annum.

Location: Exchange Tower, London.

Reporting to: Service Management Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Support management of end‑user assets (laptops, peripherals, accessories) across their lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate asset and configuration item (CI) records in the CMDB.
  • Support software asset and licence record maintenance, including entitlement and deployment.
  • Assist with infrastructure and platform asset records.
  • Perform data quality checks and reconciliation activities.
  • Support joiner, mover and leaver processes to ensure asset accuracy.
  • Work with Service Management and Front‑End Services to align asset records to live services.
  • Contribute to audits and governance activities.
  • Assist in documenting processes and identifying improvement opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Achieved 5 GCSEs at grade A‑C, including English and Maths (or equivalent qualification).
  • At least 18 years old at enrolment (September 2026).
  • Not in full‑time education or receiving funding for other learning programmes at the time of enrolment.
  • Full UK Right to Work for the duration of the apprenticeship, and valid residency status with at least 3 years residency in the UK before start date.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Interest in IT, service management, or asset management is ideal.
