The predicted salary is between 49200 - 49200 € per year.

Contract: Permanent. Working hours: Full time – 35 hours per week. Flexible part‑time or part‑time patterns are welcome. Salary: From £49,200. Location: London Exchange Tower, Canary Wharf (hybrid). Reporting to: Senior Content Manager.

The Financial Ombudsman Service is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that helps resolve disputes between consumers, or small businesses, and their financial service providers.

What You’ll Do

As content and publications lead, you’ll take ownership of high‑impact, long‑form written content that supports our statutory role. You’ll manage content projects end‑to‑end, provide editorial guidance, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear, engaging, and accessible narratives.

Minimum Criteria

  • Long‑form writing and editorial experience (external communications, editorial, copywriting or similar).
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to different audiences.
  • Strong project management capability – managing multiple contributors and tight deadlines.
  • Stakeholder and senior engagement and influencing skills.
  • Digital and audience‑focused content awareness, SEO, accessibility and plain English.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in Government or Financial Services (beneficial but not essential).
