This is an opportunity to break into the world of high-level financial advice with the backing, mentorship and infrastructure of a prestigious Chartered Financial Planning firm that is genuinely committed to developing the next generation of elite Financial Advisors.
We are searching for an ambitious, technically strong and commercially minded Paraplanner who is ready to step out from behind the report writing and begin the journey toward becoming a successful Financial Planner. If you have reached the point where you want more client exposure, more responsibility, more influence and ultimately the opportunity to build your own client relationships and income stream, this role has been designed specifically for you.
About the Firm: The company is a highly respected independent wealth management business providing bespoke financial planning to affluent individuals, families and business owners. As a Chartered firm, they operate at the highest professional standards within the industry and have built an outstanding reputation for delivering sophisticated financial planning combined with deeply personal client relationships. Their culture is ambitious, modern, collaborative and growth-focused — a business that actively invests in people who want to build long-term careers within wealth management.
The Opportunity: This is a rare and highly sought-after transition role offering a genuine pathway from Paraplanner to Financial Advisor. You will begin by operating within a technical paraplanning capacity, supporting experienced advisors with complex financial planning cases across pensions, investments, retirement planning, tax mitigation and protection. However, unlike traditional paraplanning positions, your development into an advisor will be actively encouraged from day one. You will gradually move into a more client-facing role, attending meetings, contributing to planning discussions, developing presentation skills and ultimately progressing toward managing your own portfolio of clients. This is the ideal opportunity for a driven Paraplanner who is hungry for progression and wants to become a trusted advisor within a respected Chartered environment — without having to take the risk of joining a sales-led advisory model with no support structure.
Your Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality, technically accurate suitability reports across pensions, investments, protection and retirement planning
- Conduct detailed financial planning research and analysis to support complex client recommendations
- Work closely with senior Financial Advisors on sophisticated wealth management cases
- Attend client meetings and progressively increase your involvement in advice delivery
- Assist with client fact-finding, annual reviews and ongoing relationship management
- Analyse client objectives, risk profiles and existing arrangements to support holistic advice
- Liaise with providers, platforms and third parties to obtain technical information and policy data
- Maintain compliant client records in line with FCA standards and internal procedures
- Support business development activity and identify opportunities within existing client relationships
- Progress toward advising clients directly as part of a structured development plan
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working as a Paraplanner within an IFA or Wealth Management environment
- Level 4 Diploma qualified (or close to completion)
- Strong technical understanding of pensions, investments and holistic financial planning
- Excellent suitability report writing skills
- A genuine ambition to become a Financial Advisor
- Confident communication and strong interpersonal ability
- Commercial awareness and relationship-building potential
- Highly organised, analytical and proactive mindset
- Driven, ambitious and motivated by long-term career progression and earnings growth
What's On Offer:
- A genuine, structured pathway into Financial Advice
- Direct mentoring from experienced and highly successful advisors
- Opportunity to inherit and develop client relationships over time
- Hybrid working and modern flexible culture
- Competitive salary with substantial future earning potential
- Full support toward Chartered status and further professional qualifications
- Exposure to high-quality clients and sophisticated financial planning work
- Long-term career development within a prestigious Chartered firm
- Collaborative, high-performance environment that rewards ambition and initiative
Why This Opportunity Is Different: Most Paraplanners talk about becoming Advisors. Very few firms genuinely create the platform to make it happen. This business is actively investing in ambitious wealth management professionals who want to elevate their careers, build long-term client relationships and become future leaders within financial planning. If you are ready to move beyond technical support work and take the first major step toward becoming a successful Financial Advisor, this opportunity offers the structure, mentorship and career trajectory to make that ambition a reality.
