An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Independent Financial Adviser to join a well-established and growing wealth management firm based near Watford. This highly regarded Independent Financial Advice practice has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, holistic financial planning advice and maintaining long-term relationships with its clients.

Following the acquisition of a substantial client portfolio, the business is seeking an experienced Financial Adviser who can take ownership of an established client bank and continue delivering exceptional client outcomes. This role offers immediate access to a sizeable portfolio, excellent support infrastructure and the opportunity to become a key member of a collaborative and growing financial planning team.

The Opportunity

You will inherit an existing portfolio of approximately 200 clients representing around £40 million of assets under management, providing a significant foundation from which to build your long-term success. Working alongside experienced paraplanners, administrators and fellow advisers, you will focus on delivering comprehensive financial planning advice while developing and strengthening client relationships. The business offers a supportive environment where advisers are encouraged to focus on client outcomes, ongoing relationship management and identifying opportunities for future growth.

Your Responsibilities

  • Managing and servicing an inherited portfolio of approximately 200 clients
  • Delivering holistic financial planning advice across pensions, investments, retirement planning and protection
  • Conducting annual reviews and ongoing client meetings
  • Building and maintaining long-term client relationships
  • Identifying opportunities for additional business and client referrals
  • Working closely with paraplanners and administrators to ensure excellent client service
  • Maintaining accurate client records and documentation
  • Ensuring all advice remains fully compliant with FCA regulations and internal standards

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Financial Adviser, Wealth Manager or Independent Financial Adviser
  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning as a minimum
  • Competent Adviser Status (CAS) preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and protection planning
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • Ability to manage and develop an existing client portfolio effectively
  • Professional, client-focused and commercially aware approach
  • Ability to integrate quickly into an established advice environment
