Job Title: Senior / Chartered Paraplanner – Route to Adviser
Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire (Hybrid working)
Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 per annum, plus performance-based incentives
Start Date: From November 15, 2025
Reports to: Senior Independent Financial Adviser

The Opportunity
We’re seeking a seasoned Senior or Chartered Paraplanner who thrives in a whole-of-market, independent environment. You’ll play a central role in delivering tailored, high-quality financial advice alongside a senior adviser—contributing not just to technical excellence, but to the overall client experience.
This position is ideal for an ambitious paraplanner ready to take the next step towards becoming an adviser. You’ll have direct client contact, meaningful responsibility, and a clear, structured pathway to advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the adviser in client meetings, actively engaging in relationship-building and fact-finding.
- Prepare detailed, compliant, and fully bespoke suitability reports across pensions, investments, protection, and tax-efficient planning.
- Contribute to the design of sophisticated financial strategies for high-net-worth individuals and families.
- Liaise with clients, providers, and professional connections to ensure recommendations are implemented accurately.
- Mentor and support junior team members, helping to maintain high technical and service standards.
- Ensure all client files and documentation meet FCA compliance requirements.
- Take ownership of tasks and deadlines to deliver a seamless and proactive advice process.
About You
You’ll be a confident and meticulous paraplanner who combines strong technical understanding with a personable, client-centric approach. You enjoy being hands-on with complex cases and take pride in delivering solutions that genuinely improve clients’ financial wellbeing.
Requirements
Essential:
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (minimum)
- 3–4 years’ experience within an independent, whole-of-market financial planning firm
- Comprehensive technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and tax planning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience engaging directly with clients
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive mindset
Desirable:
- Chartered Financial Planner status (or working towards it)
- Experience working with high-net-worth clients
- Previous mentoring or leadership experience
