Due to continued growth, they are seeking a technically strong Paraplanner who is looking to further develop their expertise while progressing towards a future Financial Adviser role. The Opportunity

  • Working closely with a Senior Financial Adviser, you will play a key role in the delivery of comprehensive financial planning solutions across pensions, investments, tax planning, retirement planning and estate planning.
  • You will gain increasing client exposure while supporting high-net-worth cases and developing the skills required to transition into an advisory position over time.
  • Attending client meetings alongside advisers and assisting with fact-finding and relationship management.
  • Preparing detailed suitability reports and financial planning recommendations.
  • Conducting technical research across pensions, investments, protection, tax planning and estate planning.
  • Researching products, providers and planning solutions to support client objectives.
  • Liaising with clients, providers and third parties to ensure smooth implementation of advice.
  • Supporting the design and delivery of holistic financial planning strategies.
  • Assisting with ongoing client reviews and servicing requirements.
  • Mentoring junior team members and sharing technical expertise where appropriate.
  • Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring compliance with FCA requirements.
  • Managing multiple cases effectively while maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements

  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning as a minimum.
  • Minimum 3-4 years' Paraplanning experience within an independent financial planning or wealth management firm.
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, retirement planning and tax planning.
  • Experience preparing suitability reports independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable participating in client meetings and client-facing activities.
  • Strong organisational and workload management abilities.
  • Genuine ambition to progress towards a Financial Adviser role.

Highly Desirable

  • Chartered Financial Planner status or actively working towards Chartered designation.
  • Experience supporting high-net-worth and complex client cases.
  • Previous mentoring or team leadership experience.
