Ready to join a firm where you’re more than just a cog in the wheel? Looking to bring your technical skills and people skills to a firm that sees your value — and wants to help you grow?
About the Firm
This is not your typical financial advice practice. With over 20 years of success, this independent financial planning firm offers a truly holistic service to affluent clients across Berkshire and the Southeast — from pensions and investments to wills, trusts, tax, and estate planning. They aren’t churning through leads or chasing the next product sale. Instead, they’re building relationships that span generations, delivering thoughtful, personal, and strategic financial planning to loyal clients who keep coming back.
And now, they’re looking for you — a seasoned Paraplanner who wants more than just reports and research.
About the Role
This is a high-impact Paraplanning role where your technical expertise, relationship-building skills, and career ambition will be appreciated from day one. You’ll work closely with a team of three professional and highly motivated Financial Advisers, helping them manage a growing client book — many of whom have been with the firm for years. Your work will be hands-on, collaborative, and client-facing. Whether your passion is technical excellence, mentoring others, or preparing to step into a future advice role, this firm has the platform and the flexibility to support your ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the IFA team to deliver comprehensive, client-first financial plans
- Attend client meetings, helping to build trust and continuity
- Prepare detailed and compliant suitability reports across pensions, investments, and estate planning

- Mentor and support junior administrative staff, fostering a collaborative team culture
- Play a key role in shaping and refining internal advice processes
What You Bring
- Significant experience in private client wealth management
- Strong paraplanning expertise, ideally with Level 4 Diploma (Chartered status highly desirable)
- A confident, client-facing manner and the ability to simplify complex ideas
- A collaborative, team-spirited approach with an eye for improvement
- Ambition to grow within a business — whether that means advancing into an advice role or becoming a senior technical lead
What’s in it for You?
- Salary: £48,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
- Revenue-based salary increases aligned to performance
- Hybrid working setup - based in Caversham, Reading with flexibility
- A warm, driven, and down-to-earth team culture
- A clear and supported pathway to becoming a Financial Adviser (if desired)
