Join a Chartered, Award-Winning Financial Planning Firm. Are you an experienced Paraplanner looking for a genuinely client-facing role where you can work closely with senior advisers, attend client meetings and contribute directly to delivering exceptional financial planning outcomes? Due to continued growth, we are seeking a highly capable Paraplanner to partner with Director-level Financial Planners, supporting high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners and trustees. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded financial planning firm that combines technical excellence with a truly personalised approach to client advice. Working from modern offices in the City of London with a hybrid working arrangement, you'll become an integral part of the advisory team, helping clients navigate every stage of their financial planning journey.

The Opportunity

This is far more than a traditional report-writing role. You'll act as a trusted extension of the Financial Planner, attending client meetings, contributing to planning discussions, undertaking complex research and supporting the delivery and implementation of sophisticated financial planning strategies. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied, collaborative and intellectually stimulating position with significant exposure to clients and complex planning cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong working relationships with Director-level Financial Planners and their clients
  • Attend virtual and face-to-face client meetings, taking detailed notes and documenting agreed actions
  • Support the entire advice process from research and recommendation through to implementation and ongoing servicing
  • Prepare high-quality suitability reports covering investments, pensions, protection and tax planning strategies
  • Conduct technical research and analysis to support client recommendations
  • Participate in annual client review meetings, assessing changing circumstances and planning requirements
  • Support tax year-end planning projects and wider client initiatives
  • Maintain accurate client records, workflows and wealth management portal information
  • Collaborate with advisers to identify and deliver the most appropriate planning solutions
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately, compliantly and within agreed timescales
  • Work closely with the wider paraplanning team to maintain an efficient and flexible workflow
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share technical knowledge across the business

About You

We are looking for a technically strong and client-focused Paraplanner who enjoys building relationships and playing an active role in the advice process.

Ideally You'll Have:

  • 3-5+ years' paraplanning experience within a Financial Planning, Wealth Management or IFA environment
  • Experience supporting advisers and high-net-worth clients across the full financial planning journey
  • Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, protection, retirement planning and taxation
  • Experience producing high-quality suitability reports with minimal supervision
  • Confidence attending and contributing to client meetings
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational abilities with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience using financial planning and back-office systems, including CRM platforms
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and cashflow planning software such as Voyant
  • Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 4) as a minimum
  • Progression towards Chartered Financial Planner status

What's on Offer?

  • £50,000 - £55,000 basic salary
  • Hybrid working arrangement
  • Exposure to complex and rewarding financial planning cases
  • Direct access to experienced, high-performing advisers
  • Strong focus on professional development
