A respected and client-focused financial planning firm near Sevenoaks is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Paraplanner to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a paraplanner looking to support a growing firm and contribute to delivering exceptional client service in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
As a Paraplanner, you will work closely with financial advisers to understand client needs, conduct in-depth research, and prepare detailed and compliant suitability reports. Your technical analysis will help ensure that all recommendations are aligned with clients' financial goals and regulatory standards. You will also assist with preparing client reviews and maintain accurate client records in accordance with FCA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with financial advisers to understand client objectives and planning needs
- Conduct detailed research and analysis on investments, pensions, tax planning, protection, and estate planning strategies
- Prepare clear, compliant suitability reports and recommendations
- Liaise with product providers and ensure accurate record-keeping in line with regulatory requirements
- Assist in preparing client review reports and annual financial reviews
- Stay up to date with financial legislation changes and product offerings
- Provide technical support and assist in improving paraplanning processes
- Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent); progression toward Chartered status desirable
- At least 2 years of experience in a paraplanning or technical support role within an IFA or financial planning firm
- Strong understanding of financial planning principles (pensions, investments, tax, protection)
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency with financial planning software (e.g., Intelligent Office, FE Analytics, Cashflow Modelling tools)
- Competitive salary up to £45,000, depending on experience
