This is a fantastic opportunity for someone already operating in a financial services environment who’s looking to step into a broader, more strategic role — or for a senior paraplanner keen to move into an Operations Manager role within a highly regarded firm.
This boutique practice has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, client-focused advice. They pride themselves on a collaborative, professional culture and a genuine commitment to developing their people. With continued growth, they are now seeking someone to take ownership of day-to-day operations and play a key role in supporting both advisers and the wider team.
As an Operations Manager, you’ll be working closely with senior stakeholders across the business. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the firm runs efficiently, supporting staff, maintaining compliance standards, and improving internal processes. The role would suit someone who enjoys structure, takes pride in organisation, and is confident bringing people, processes, and systems together.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day running of the business, including leading back-office operations, managing staff onboarding, recruitment, and supporting payroll and pension processes.
- Coordinate governance activities such as board and investment committee meetings, while producing MI and KPI reporting for advisers.
- Take ownership of compliance oversight, working with external consultants, maintaining documentation, supporting audits, and ensuring FCA, AML, and CPD requirements are met.
- Manage financial administration including fee reconciliation, income monitoring, and introducer payments.
- Act as a central point of contact for client and provider queries, while overseeing general office operations, systems, and internal processes.
- Previous experience within financial services is essential.
- Degree educated or holding relevant industry qualifications.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent written communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Word and Excel, with the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
- Highly organised with strong time management skills.
- Proactive, positive approach with a willingness to take ownership.
- Level 4 Diploma (or working towards) would be advantageous.
- Salary to £57,000.
- Quarterly Bonus.
- Hybrid working.
- Pension scheme.
- Excellent benefits package.
This is a fantastic opportunity, and ideal for an Operations Manager who enjoys being at the centre of a business — balancing people, process, and operational oversight within a high-quality financial planning environment.
