A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious Paraplanner to join a highly respected Chartered Financial Planning practice based in the heart of the City. This is a key role supporting a long-established Adviser with over 20 years' tenure and an estimated £80m AUM, working with a large and loyal client base including many High-Net-Worth individuals (average client size c.£800k). This position is ideal for a career Paraplanner who thrives in a technical, client-focused environment and is committed to delivering high-quality work within a professional, friendly team.

The Role

  • Work closely with one Adviser, providing full paraplanning and case management support across pensions, investments, protection and inheritance tax planning.
  • Producing detailed and accurate suitability reports for new business and annual reviews.
  • Conducting in-depth product and fund research using tools such as Selectapension, FE Analytics and Defaqto.
  • Managing cases from client agreement through to implementation.
  • Liaising with providers to gather policy information and ensure smooth processing.
  • Maintaining accurate pipeline records and updating clients and the Adviser.
  • Producing valuations and managing the annual review process.
  • Completing fact finds and maintaining client files on the back-office system.
  • Submitting new business on provider platforms and internal systems.
  • Monitoring trail fees, invoicing clients and managing ongoing fee processes.
  • Actioning fund switch instructions.
  • General administrative duties to support the advice process.

What We're Looking For

  • Level 4 Diploma qualified (essential).
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection and IHT.
  • A genuine career Paraplanner with at least 5+ years' experience.
  • Ideally working towards Chartered status or keen to progress.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational ability.
  • Confident working independently and as part of a close-knit team.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and able to take ownership of tasks.
