About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) to join our established team based near St Albans. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to take on part of a retiring adviser's client bank, representing approximately £30 million in AUM. We are ideally looking for a currently practising adviser with 3-5 years of experience, confident in delivering holistic financial planning to a loyal, long-standing client base. While Chartered status is advantageous, it's not essential - what matters most is your professionalism, integrity, and ability to build trusted relationships.
The Opportunity
- Immediate client handover: Inherit a well-established client base from a retiring adviser, with ongoing introductions and support to ensure a smooth transition.
- AUM: Circa £30 million, across clients typically holding £100k+, averaging around £300k per client.
- Client profile: Predominantly homeowners aged 45+, including business owners, professionals, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Typical advice areas: 50% Pensions, 30% Investments, 20% Broader financial planning (e.g. protection, tax-efficient strategies, estate planning).
- A full adviser portfolio within the firm equates to around 200 clients, ensuring quality, long-term relationships and sustainable service levels.
