Are you an experienced IFA Administrator looking for your next long-term opportunity with an established and successful Independent Financial Adviser?

We are working with a highly regarded IFA firm in the Hitchin / Stevenage area that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Administrator to join its established support team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial services professional who has a strong understanding of the IFA environment and is looking to take the next step in their career while continuing to develop their technical knowledge.

The ideal candidate will be part-way through their Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning and keen to continue progressing their qualifications.

The Role

Working closely with Financial Advisers and Paraplanners, you will provide high-quality technical and administrative support throughout the client journey.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing comprehensive administrative support to Financial Advisers and Paraplanners
• Preparing client documentation and meeting packs
• Processing new business and client instructions
• Liaising with providers, platforms and third parties
• Obtaining valuations and conducting product/provider research
• Preparing illustrations and supporting documentation
• Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring files are kept up to date
• Supporting pension, investment and protection cases
• Assisting with suitability and review processes
• Processing applications and monitoring cases through to completion
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in line with FCA requirements
• Building strong relationships with clients, Advisers and providers
• Using modern technology and AI tools to improve efficiency and streamline processes

About You

We are looking for someone with a solid background within an IFA or financial planning environment, ideally with at least 5 years' experience.

You will ideally have:

• 5+ years' experience within an IFA / wealth management environment
• Strong financial services administration experience
• Experience supporting Financial Advisers and/or Paraplanners
• Good understanding of pensions, investments and financial planning
• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning in progress
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Confident communication skills and a professional, personable manner
• Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritise effectively
• Good knowledge of FCA and compliance requirements
• Confidence using technology and a willingness to embrace AI and modern financial planning tools
• A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of your work
• Someone who genuinely enjoys working within a support/administration role and is looking for a long-term career with an established firm
