My client is an independent wealth planning firm with offices near Bishops Stortford. They offer whole of market financial advice to HNW retirees, accumulators, local families and SME owners based across Essex, Herts and London. In their current setup, they manage the affairs of 300 clients with assets ranging from £250k - £8m. The advisers consult on pensions, investments, tax planning, cashflow modelling, retirement planning, protections, and some esoteric schemes. They have very longstanding relations with a solicitor practice who refer business to them and the advisers are not targeted as they have such a strong belief in ensuring clients receive the best service rather than stacking up AUM.
The Managing Director is seeking to recruit an experienced Financial Planner who will manage c.£35m AUM. This is a purely servicing role which will free up the time of another adviser who is going to focus on generating new business. This role will suit a candidate with a background in an independent wealth planning firm who is preferably Chartered or aspires to work towards Chartered status. However, my client will consider someone with a restricted advice background. You will have dedicated admin and paraplanning support. Most of the funds under management are held on Quilter, Transact, AJ Bell amongst others. If you have knowledge of Intelligent Office, Cashcal or FE Analytics this would be helpful.
Salary: £70k - £85k (negotiable) + bonuses (£10k - £20k)
- Manage £40m AUM
- Full admin and paraplanning support
- Servicing role - no need to generate new business
- Any new business you do generate will be rewarded
