An established and highly respected independent financial planning firm is seeking an experienced Financial Adviser to join its growing team in Guildford. The Opportunity

From day one, you will inherit approximately 30 established clients representing around £10 million of assets under management. This provides an immediate platform to build meaningful relationships and generate ongoing revenue. Alongside the existing client portfolio, the firm consistently generates an average of 2-3 high‑quality, pre‑vetted client introductions per week. These prospective clients have already engaged with the business and are seeking professional financial advice, allowing you to focus on delivering advice rather than spending your time prospecting. Supported by a dedicated administration and paraplanning team, you will have the resources needed to provide an exceptional client experience and concentrate on what you do best – helping clients achieve their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver holistic, independent financial planning tailored to individual client needs.
  • Manage and develop an inherited portfolio of approximately 30 clients with £10 million AUM.
  • Conduct client meetings and ongoing review appointments.
  • Build strong long‑term relationships with both existing and newly introduced clients.
  • Gather and analyse client information to understand objectives and financial planning requirements.
  • Research suitable financial planning solutions and prepare clear recommendations.
  • Produce accurate and compliant documentation supporting all advice provided.
  • Deliver agreed service levels in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain Competent Adviser Status and meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Remain up to date with technical developments, legislation and FCA regulations.
  • Follow internal compliance, training and competence procedures at all times.
  • Complete ongoing CPD and continually enhance professional knowledge.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Level 4 Diploma qualified and holding Competent Adviser Status.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Adviser, Wealth Manager or Independent Financial Adviser.
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent relationship‑building and client management skills.
  • Ability to explain complex financial concepts in clear, straightforward language.
  • Strong analytical and report‑writing abilities.
  • Professional, ethical and client‑focused approach.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
