As a successful self-employed Financial Adviser, you will always earn far more than you would be able to in an employed Financial Adviser role. Many employed Advisers have built genuine relationships with their clients and are confident many would follow them to a new role. However, the barrier for most Financial Advisers is being able to fund themselves in the short term when they take the leap and become self-employed.
Several of my clients have created innovative solutions to this problem. Many of my clients are Chartered IFA firms whose main office presences are in Central London but with satellite offices across the UK. I have recruited for them all over many years having placed staff at all levels with them from entry level administrators to paraplanners and adviser and C-Suite Executives.
To aid the transition to self-employment, my clients will tailor a package of financial support to an Adviser. My clients understand that most Advisers will have a year’s restrictive covenant in place, so they are happy to support someone through this period financially so they can re-engage with their clients. Fee structures range from 50% - 70% of all income you generate which increases as you bill more up to c.80%. Another major benefit of these roles is that YOU WILL OWN ALL YOUR CLIENTS, so you will have a tangible asset to sell when you come to retire.
