An established and growing wealth management business with offices in Ipswich is looking for a proactive, organised and detail-focused Financial Administrator to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around 3 years' financial services experience who enjoys supporting Advisers and clients and wants to build a long-term career within wealth management and financial planning.

The Role

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will provide high-quality administrative support to Financial Advisers and their clients throughout the advice process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Completing file reviews and ensuring documentation is accurate and complete
  • Preparing information and documentation ahead of adviser and client meetings
  • Completing post-meeting administration
  • Maintaining and updating the CRM system
  • Processing valuations and calculating financial totals
  • Accurately inputting and maintaining client information
  • Chasing outstanding information from clients and providers
  • Supporting Advisers with the day-to-day management of their client banks
  • Following established processes and procedures
  • Providing wider administrative support to the Financial Planning team

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and detail-focused, with a genuine interest in developing their career within financial services. Ideally, you will have:

  • Around 3 years' experience within financial services, IFA administration or wealth management
  • A Foundation-level financial services qualification
  • Level 3 qualification would be advantageous, but is not essential
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good technical ability for your level of experience
  • A confident telephone manner
  • Excellent written communication and grammar
  • The confidence to chase clients and providers for outstanding information
  • The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
  • A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership
  • The ability to work accurately within established processes

Career Development

This role would suit someone who is ambitious and wants to build a long-term career within financial planning and wealth management. The business is looking for someone with drive, a positive attitude and a willingness to undertake further professional qualifications. Level 3 is desirable, but candidates who can demonstrate strong relevant experience, commitment and the ability to learn will also be considered.
