Location: Tyldesley, Wigan Salary: £12.50 per hour Hours: Full-time 40 hours per week (shift-based) About The Role Were looking for a passionate and reliable Residential Care Worker to join a dedicated team supporting children and young people in a warm, safe, and nurturing home environment. This is your chance to make a real difference in young lives by providing day-to-day care, emotional support, and helping them thrive. What You\’ll Be Doing Support children and young people in a safe, stable, and supportive environment Build trusting relationships and encourage positive behaviours Help young people with daily routines, appointments, school engagement, and recreational activities Maintain clear and accurate records, including care plans, risk assessments, and daily logs Ensure the home meets regulatory standards (Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 & Ofsted expectations) Work closely with other professionals, including social workers, schools, and healthcare providers Occasionally step up as a Senior when required What Were Looking For Experience working with children or young people (preferably in a residential care setting) A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it) Strong communication and teamworking skills A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and occasional sleep-ins Why Join Us?
