What You'll Do
- Provide high-quality, child-centred care that promotes safety, development, and emotional wellbeing.
- Guide and mentor your team, lead shifts, and support new staff through induction and training.
- Ensure all care practices meet regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with young people, colleagues, and external agencies.
- Oversee routines, manage incidents, and contribute to care planning and reviews.
Qualifications
- Experience working in residential childcare or similar settings.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Flexibility to work sleep-in shifts and follow a 2 on, 4 off pattern.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or NVQ equivalent).
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and safeguarding practices.
- A proactive, resilient, and compassionate approach to care.
