Careermakers Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 Tipper Drivers on behalf of a well-established client based in the Irlam area. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers with muck-away experience looking for regular weekday work with competitive pay and no handballing involved.
You will be paid £14.35 - £16.08 per hour (PAYE) depending on experience. You’ll be joining a growing team committed to delivering reliable and efficient transport solutions across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate a Class 2 tipper truck to transport materials (e.g., aggregates, sand, gravel) to various sites.
- Safely load and unload using the vehicle's tipping mechanism; no manual handling required.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries across designated routes.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding routes and updates.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and vehicle condition reports.
- Comply with all relevant road safety, transport legislation, and company policies.
- Muck-away experience is essential.
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Minimum 2 years Class 2 driving experience (for insurance purposes).
- Strong working knowledge of UK road networks and driving regulations.
- A professional, punctual, and safety-first approach.
- No more than 6 penalty points (no major convictions).
- Competitive pay: £14.35 - £16.08/hr PAYE or £17.00/hr Umbrella.
