CareerMakers are currently looking for a TIG Welder for one of our clients in the OL9, Chadderton Area.

The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated team to carry out high-quality welding operations in a safe and timely manner. Fabrication knowledge is essential, and the ability to read technical drawings is required. The role involves MIG welding of mild steel across various thicknesses, manufacturing containers, wash down bays, wheel wash systems, bowsers, and more. Testing and commissioning of fabrications, both old and new, are part of the role.

The welder/fabricator will collaborate with other departments to support the growth of the production team.

The Role Includes

  • Interpreting production drawings to ensure safety, quality, and delivery standards are met.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and addressing safety concerns.
  • Using welding/fabrication machinery according to best practices.
  • Adapting effectively to changes in work tasks or environment.

Candidates Should Have

  • At least 3 years of TIG welding experience in stainless steel and aluminium.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to pass a short on-site weld test.
  • Ability to interpret production drawings.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work at a fast pace.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to improve skills.
  • Capability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Experience with fabrication using jigs, benchwork, or assembly.

Shift Pattern

  • Monday to Thursday, 6 am – 4:30 pm

Pay Rate

  • Starting at £14 – £16 per hour, depending on experience
