Salary – National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £25,000 to £33,333.33 and London £27,500 to £37,000 per annum (Salary offered will be based on skills and experience)
About the FCA
The FCA regulates the conduct of 45,000 firms in the UK to ensure our financial markets are honest, fair and competitive.
The Enforcement Market Oversight Operational Excellence Team is part of the Digital Support, Business and Learning Department within EISS. The team provide a wide range of services to the Enforcement and Market Oversight (EMO) division including knowledge and learning, production of management information, recruitment, dealing with Freedom of Information act requests and risk management on behalf of the division and providing operational support to investigation teams.
The successful candidate will predominantly work with the Knowledge and Learning Team but may be required to put time into other workstreams within the wider Op Ex team including participating in specific tasks with the Head of Department.
The EMO Knowledge and Learning team lead on knowledge management and delivery for EMO. Amongst our responsibilities we deliver technical training, oversee 15 Expert Groups, run various Knowledge sharing groups and forums, run a mentoring scheme, produce regular internal knowhow publications, manage the Enforcement Practice manual, paralegal manual and the Final Notice Database.
What will you be doing?
Delivering high-quality support service to EMO, K&L team and Op Ex team when required, ensuring smooth and efficient operational processes for internal stakeholders
Responsible for managing day-to-day correspondence, ensuring timely and professional communication, accurately processing purchase orders and invoices and efficiently handling travel arrangements
Coordinate knowledge-sharing events for the Forensic Investigators Network, leveraging corporate experience in Knowledge & Learning and Operations tasks
Efficiently plan, organize, and coordinate training courses and know-how sessions, including scheduling, preparing resources, and ensuring all sessions are fully set up and ready to run
Maintaining and updating records within the FCA Intact system to support regulatory compliance and data accuracy
Responsible for preparing agendas, coordinating briefings and managing meetings documents and pending actions. Oversee inbox management by monitoring emails, preparing agendas for the management meetings and following up actions where necessary

Minimum
Proven experience in a role which has required strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to cultivate and manage stakeholder relationships across all levels
Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment, combining excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills, with the ability to work in a structured way and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
Proven experience in delivering high-quality administrative support, including mailbox management, ensuring enquires all queries are responds to at the agreed deadlines
Essential
Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively within a team while maintaining the flexibility to work independently, take initiatives and anticipate potential issues, and propose practical solutions
Ability to handle staff confidential and sensitive data with utmost discretion ensuring confidentiality is upheld at all times
Prior experience in a role that involves a high level of accuracy and attention to detail ensuring precision in all tasks
Capable of professionally engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders on both general and confidential matters
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player, adaptable to sudden changes and always ready to support colleagues
