Finance Cashiering Team Administrator
Department – Revenue
Division – Corporate Services
Salary – National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £28,800 to £35,000 and London £31,600 to £37,000 pro rata (salary offered will be based on skills and experience)

The successful candidate will join a close-knit team of four within the wider Revenue and Finance department, which oversees invoicing, payment processing and collection for more than 45,000 firms. In 2024/25, the Revenue team successfully collected £2 billion, reflecting its central role in supporting financial operations at scale.
What will you be doing?
Take ownership of the daily receipting process, contributing to accurate and efficient financial operations
Manage the email bounce-back process with care, supporting effective communication and resolution
Respond empathetically and clearly to customer queries via email, building trusted relationships
Allocate payments received by cheque, card and electronic methods while thoughtfully resolving related queries
Provide collaborative support across cashiering functions, including Direct Debits, Unallocated Receipts and Credit Card Reconciliations
Partner with account handlers during quieter periods to help address overdue invoices, write-offs and credits with a solutions-focused mindset

Minimum
Prior experience managing high-volume workloads to a consistent standard within tight deadlines, demonstrating initiative and reliability
Prior experience in payment allocation and reconciliations, with intermediate use of Excel functions such as VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
Prior experience learning and operating multiple software systems simultaneously, with a proactive, can-do approach to navigating change
Strong organisational capability with a proactive approach to managing competing priorities, escalating effectively and delivering work to high standards and agreed timelines
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, communicate with clarity and empathy and engage confidently across all levels of the organisation—both in writing and conversation
