As part of this journey, our People function is evolving to ensure that high-quality people data, insight and analysis help the FCA make better decisions about its workforce. The People Data & Reporting Analystwill play an important role in turning people data into clear, useful insight.
Working closely with colleagues across HR Analytics, HR Systems and the wider People function, you will support regular reporting, respond to data and insight requests, help improve the quality of our people data, and contribute to analytical work that supports strategic workforce decisions.
Role responsibilitiesProduce regular people reporting and management information, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely and clearly presented, enabling stakeholders to make informed workforce decisionsRespond to ad hoc data and insight requests from HR colleagues and wider stakeholders, helping them understand workforce trends, patterns and issues to support effective decision-makingUse Excel, Workday reporting and other analytical tools to extract, check, analyse and present people data, providing valuable insights that support business decisionsAssist with data quality checks, identifying anomalies and working with colleagues to investigate and resolve issues, ensuring confidence in the accuracy and reliability of people dataSupport the development of dashboards, reports and insight products that help the People function and senior leaders make evidence-based decisions and shape strategic prioritiesTranslate data into clear summaries, commentary and visual outputs that are accessible to non-technical audiences, making complex information easy to understand and act uponWork collaboratively with HR Systems and wider HR teams to understand data sources, definitions and reporting requirements, helping to deliver consistent and meaningful people insightsContribute to continuous improvement activity, including improving reporting processes, documentation and data governance practices, enhancing efficiency, accuracy and the overall quality of reporting outputsSkills requiredMinimum: Prior experience of working with data, reporting or analysis in a professional environment, gained through employment, internship, placement or equivalent experiencePrior experience using Workday (or equivalent) to build reports, organise, analyse or present dataEssential: A keen interest in people data, HR insight and using evidence to support better decisionsGood problem-solving instincts and the ability to recognise patterns, evaluate data, and explore issues carefullyAttention to detail and a dedication to producing accurate, reliable resultsAbility to communicate clearly, including explaining data and insight to colleagues who may not have a technical backgroundForward-looking and inquisitive mindset, with the ability to ask questions, examine data, and propose improvementsAbility to work collaboratively and build effective relationships across HR and the wider organisationGood organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing tasks and deliver to deadlinesBenefits25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysColleagues spend a minimum of 50% of their working time in the office each month (60% for Directors and Executive Directors) across our London, Leeds and Edinburgh officesNon-contributory pension (8β12% depending on age) and life assurance at eight times your salaryPrivate healthcare with Bupa, income protection, and 24/7 Employee Assistance35 hours of paid volunteering annuallyA flexible benefits scheme designed around your lifestyleFor a full list of our benefits, and our recruitment process as a whole visit our benefits page.
