In this role, you assess and strengthen financial resilience across wholesale and retail firms to safeguard the stability of the financial system. You will work within the Financial Resilience Department to provide precise analysis that informs regulatory decisions and support prudent supervision. You’ll apply regulatory tools, deepen your understanding of prudential regimes, and coach colleagues while collaborating with frontline supervisors. This position offers exposure to complex business models and high-impact regulatory work in a dynamic environment. You will contribute to shaping robust rules and guidance that minimise consumer and market harm while advancing the FCA’s mission.

Responsibilities
- Conduct and support in-depth financial resilience assessments across a diverse portfolio of wholesale and retail firms
- Deliver high-quality, timely analysis to inform regulatory decisions
- Evaluate and apply appropriate regulatory tools to ensure firms meet resilience standards
- Coach and mentor associates to build capability and leadership
- Collaborate with front-line supervisors to achieve aligned regulatory outcomes
- Demonstrate judgement, engagement, and self-management aligned with FCA values
- Apply prudential regulation frameworks across regimes to broaden technical knowledge
- Engage with senior stakeholders to shape strategic regulatory outcomes
Key requirements
- Prudential risk management knowledge and regulatory frameworks
