As part of the Data, Technology & Innovation (DTI) Division, we are leading the FCA in harnessing the power of data and advanced analytics to transform financial regulation. In Digital Product, a subdivision of DTI, we believe in doing things differently. We believe in collaboration, inclusivity, innovation and using data to be at our best. We place emphasis on curiosity and experimentation. We collaborate widely with other regulators, academics, innovative companies, and within the FCA.

Role responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Delivery Manager in implementing effective delivery management across allocated workstreams and projects within a portfolio of products and services.
  • Create, lead and develop multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the appropriate structure and skill levels are in place to meet delivery requirements.
  • Own the workstream delivery roadmap, aligning activities with business strategy, priorities and outcomes to deliver measurable value.
  • Support the development of prioritised backlogs, service blueprints and user stories by working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Oversee the architecture for workstreams, partnering with technical leads to ensure systems and solutions remain flexible and deliver performance aligned with business needs.
  • Ensure effective software delivery methodologies are implemented and maintained in line with agile and lean principles.
  • Align delivery practices with DevSecOps principles and toolsets to support automation, continuous integration, continuous deployment and continuous operational monitoring as standard.
  • Ensure appropriate governance, assurance and delivery management are in place, managing dependencies, risks, issues, budgets and people while embedding security, reliability and performance throughout delivery and architecture decisions.

Skills required:

  • Minimum: Extensive experience with delivery leadership and oversight for complex, high-risk products and services, commercial management and financial skills and dealing with senior stakeholders within high-visibility, complex operating environments.
  • Lead, coach and support multidisciplinary delivery teams, applying deep understanding across Agile delivery methodologies, governance, DevSecOps and User-Centred Design (UCD) practices to deliver effective outcomes.
  • Manage complex delivery initiatives through in-depth application of agile and lean methodologies.

Essential:

  • Applying agile and lean practices to identify and select the most effective delivery methods, encourage experimentation, adapt approaches to context, measure outcomes and support teams in managing and visualising delivery results.
  • Communicating effectively between technical and non-technical stakeholders, interpreting business and technical requirements, managing expectations and facilitating both proactive and reactive communications.
  • Facilitating delivery flow across teams, maintaining momentum, managing pace and addressing risks, issues and dependencies, including those owned outside the team.
  • Identify, question and improve organisational processes, coaching teams and stakeholders to inspect, adapt and implement new ways of working that add measurable value.
  • Overseeing delivery planning activities, prioritising high-value work, using data to inform decisions and managing complex internal and external dependencies to provide delivery confidence.
  • Removing blockers and impediments affecting delivery plans, develop solutions for complex situations and ensure teams plan realistically against available capacity.
  • Building motivated and collaborative teams by creating the right working environment, empowering colleagues to deliver, addressing team issues and establishing the most effective team structure for each situation.

Benefits:

  • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Hybrid model where employees work to a minimum of 50% in the office each month (expectation of 60% for Directors and Executive Directors).
  • Non-contributory pension (8–12% depending on age) and life assurance at eight times your salary.
  • Private healthcare with Bupa, income protection, and 24/7 Employee Assistance.
  • 35 hours of paid volunteering annually.
