Legacy Behavioral Health is hiring individuals with a passion for making a difference in their community! We are seeking a Pre Service Coordinator to work in the Cook Mental Health Center. The Pre-Service Coordinator works with consumers throughout the pre-access process to include:
- Scheduling according to specified appointment protocols
- Pre-registration of new and established consumers
- Insurance and eligibility verification of all consumers, including updating registration information on established patients
- Informing the consumer of referral authorization requirements, co-pays, and/or deductibles due
- Assisting in securing payment arrangements
These tasks will be performed with accuracy and in conjunction with required procedures and work processes to expedite payment for services and avoid authorization penalties. This role will also include answering and directing calls, working through referrals, running eligibility checks/compliance, and the completion of questionnaires for Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance and Self Pay consumers.

Requirements
- Associate Degree in a business, medical or related field preferred.
- A high school diploma or GED may be accepted with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a medical office setting.
- Prefer 5 years experience in a medical office environment.
- Requires basic computer skills.
- Thorough understanding and working knowledge of all aspects of EMR.
- Ability to analyse data for improvement opportunities.
- Utilises discretion in handling the organisation’s confidential information and consumer-protected information.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and team building.
- A valid GA driver’s license is required.

Working Conditions
- Physical Demands: Sit, walk, and stand; may spend up to twenty-five percent of working time standing/walking. Lift, carry, push, pull; generally not more than ten pounds of force is needed to lift, carry, push, or pull objects. Bend, stoop, and kneel; occasional bending and kneeling may be required in troubleshooting equipment/assisting clients. Manual dexterity/wrist and hand repetitions; good manual and finger dexterity is needed; up to seventy-five percent of working time may be spent using a computer keyboard. Vision, hearing, speaking; must have good visual acuity and depth perception to operate the computer system; speaking and hearing are essential to the communication needs of the position.
- Environmental Conditions: Moving mechanical parts are found in the work environment. Work is performed in a well-lighted, temperature-controlled, and humidity-controlled environment. May be requested on occasion to travel to another work site. Must be able to make arrangements to attend these as required.
