Transactional Finance partners with a third-party provider to deliver a scalable, high-quality finance function that leverages external expertise and resources while maintaining robust internal governance. The UK-based team retains full ownership and accountability for all transactional processes, controls, and balance sheet integrity. The UK team serves as the strategic liaison between offshore operations and internal stakeholders, providing first-line support for front-end businesses and consultants while ensuring operational excellence across all finance touchpoints.
As Team Leader, you will directly manage UK-based team members who provide first-line support to front-end businesses and consultants, while maintaining oversight of offshore processing teams. You will drive operational excellence, ensure robust governance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across all finance touchpoints. The role encompasses leadership across multiple towers, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Banking, Statements, Leisure Finance Support, and Invoicing, with specific focus on the Leisure Finance operations within the UK market.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, develop, and manage the UK-based Transactional Finance team of Leisure, setting clear objectives and performance standards.
- Own the relationship with third-party offshore providers, ensuring SLA compliance and service quality.
- Maintain ultimate accountability for all transactional controls, reconciliations, and financial accuracy.
- Drive process optimization and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex issues, stakeholder concerns, and audit queries.
- Ensure seamless month-end and year-end close processes across all transactional streams.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align Leisure operations with strategic objectives.
- Champion change management and lead implementation of system upgrades and process transformations.
What We’re Looking For
- 3-5 years in transactional finance operations (AP, AR, Banking, Reconciliations).
- Experience managing offshore/outsourced service providers.
- Track record of process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas).
- Reporting and analytics tools (Power BI, etc).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls.
- Familiarity with automation tools and digital transformation.
- Proven leadership ability to coach, develop, and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication verbal and written skills across all levels.
- Strategic problem-solving with strong analytical capabilities.
- Ability to influence and build effective relationships.
- Attention to detail and high accuracy focus.
