Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Mortgage Broker role based in Glasgow City. The Mortgage Broker will meet with clients to assess their financial circumstances, explain mortgage products, and recommend suitable options. Daily responsibilities include gathering and analyzing financial information, preparing and submitting mortgage applications, and liaising with lenders, solicitors, and other stakeholders throughout the approval process. The role involves monitoring market trends, advising on debt consolidation where appropriate, and supporting clients through underwriting and closing. The Mortgage Broker will maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and contribute to mortgage marketing and business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in mortgage brokerage, including experience as a Mortgage Broker and knowledge of Brokerage practices.
- Solid understanding of Finance, including lending principles, affordability assessments, and risk evaluation.
- Ability to advise on Debt Consolidation solutions and structure appropriate repayment plans.
- Experience with Mortgage Marketing and client acquisition, including relationship management and referral networks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to clients.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to regulatory compliance and ethical standards.
- Proficiency with financial software, mortgage sourcing systems, and basic office applications.
- Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in mortgage advice or financial services; prior experience in the UK mortgage market is highly beneficial.
