Freelancer Canadian French Translator

Fin London is a creative production company based in Soho Square, London.

We are looking for a freelance Canadian French, English speaking translator/producer with an in-depth understanding of Canadian culture, to produce, translate and localise health and wellness-related digital content across Canada for a leading global brand.

This is a freelancer position for ad hoc work but could lead to longer contract roles and providing maternity leave cover. Brand onboarding will be provided.

It will be an advantage if you have experience in translating and localising marketing content for a major global brand.

Social media content is very specific, whereas marketing is broader and can include long form content which is becoming more regular in our requests.

The role requires:

• First language, or fluent in, French (Canadian), plus ability to work seamlessly in European French, (incl. at times Switzerland, French Belgium). Also, fluency in English (Canadian) is required.
• Excellent conversation and writing of French and English
• Deep understanding of current Canadian cultural trends and lifestyle in both FR and EN-speaking parts of Canada
• Ideally you will be living in the UK with appropriate work permits
• Excellent understanding of social media
• Ability to be to turn around projects quickly
• Keen interest in fitness, health, and wellness sector
• To produce content that is compliant with brand glossary
• Can work occasional evenings and weekends
