Fin Search are recruiting a Head of Finance on a permanent basis for a well performing retail business in Leeds. The business is currently in a period of sustained and significant growth. This is a brilliant opportunity for a forward thinking finance professional looking for a hands on yet strategic and commercial head of role.
The business is operating a hybrid working model - 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. The business will also consider someone looking for a 4 day or 4.5 day working week.
Reporting into the Managing Director, this role will be responsible for taking full ownership of the finance function to ensure effective controls, strategy, reporting and cash management with the view of developing a high performing function fit for scale and growth. This role will act as a trusted strategic and commercial finance manager to the senior management team.
Duties will include, however are not limited to:
- Responsibility for monthly management reporting to include P&L, Balance Sheet and cashflow
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis process
- Ensure effective cashflow management
- Compliance with HMRC requirements to include VAT returns
- Managing a small team
- Heavily involved in the implementation of a new finance software
The successful candidate will:
- Be ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified
- Have worked in a lead finance role previously
- Have a commercially minded approach
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills
£70,000 - £80,000, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), pension scheme, complimentary breakfast daily, free on site parking for office days, hybrid working model.
