  • Startup Accountancy (www.startupaccountancy.com)

Responsibilities:

  • Build on the existing brand and positioning work already completed.
  • Bring the brand to life consistently across website, proposals, decks, content and sales conversations.
  • Clearly articulate who we are, what we do and why we exist in a relatively new category.
  • Define the brand from the ground up:
  • Target audience (stage, mindset, pain points)
  • Tone of voice (founder‐first, modern, straight‐talking)
  • Clear differentiation in a crowded market
  • Build a brand that founders feel was built for them, not a corporate service re‐skin
  • Messaging & narrative ownership:
    • Define brand voice and tone
    • Create messaging frameworks (homepage, service pages, sales decks, ads)
    • Translate complex financial services into clear, compelling stories
    • Write, edit or tightly brief copy to ensure one consistent brand voice
    • Shape founder‐facing language across marketing and sales
  • Brand‐led campaigns:
    • Design and lead campaigns that build long‐term brand equity, while supporting short‐term growth.
    • Lead brand‐led campaigns: launches, thought leadership, partnerships, events
    • Balance activation with long‐term brand building
    • Set creative direction for campaigns across channels
    • Work with freelancers or agencies for:
    • Paid media (e.g. Google Ads)
    • Video and content production
    • Design support
  • Brand governance & consistency:
    • Create and maintain brand guidelines
    • Act as the "brand bar" internally
    • Ensure consistency across all touchpoints
    • Help the team understand why the brand matters not just police it
  • Founder & leadership partner:
    • Work closely with the founders and leadership team.
    • Translate founder vision into clear brand expression
    • Push back when messaging becomes diluted or unclear
    • Be comfortable with ambiguity and early‐stage decision‐making
    • Shape how the business shows up externally

    Requirements:

    • 6-10+ years' experience in brand and/or marketing roles
    • Proven experience leading brand strategy and positioning
    • Comfortable owning marketing as a function, not just a slice of it
    • Strong commercial instincts and understands how brand supports growth
    • Confident operating as a one‐person function with external support
    • Able to brief, manage and challenge agencies and freelancers
    • Happy working with ambiguity and building things from scratch
    • Experience in B2B, professional services, SaaS or founder‐led businesses is a strong plus.

    Why join us?

    • Own two distinct brands with real autonomy
    • Work directly with founders who care deeply about brand
    • Build brands from positioning through to execution
    • Avoid being boxed into a narrow "channel" role
    • Shape long‐term growth, not just short‐term metrics

If you are a senior brand marketer who wants to build, not maintain and who enjoys pairing strategy with execution we would love to hear from you.

    Benefits:

    • Competitive salary based on experience
    • Company‐wide performance‐related bonus scheme
    • Tailored personal development plan, to help you grow
