Opportunity
We are hiring a Brand Marketing Lead to own, build and scale the brands of:
- fin-house (www.fin-house.co.uk)
- Startup Accountancy (www.startupaccountancy.com)
Responsibilities:
- Build on the existing brand and positioning work already completed.
- Bring the brand to life consistently across website, proposals, decks, content and sales conversations.
- Clearly articulate who we are, what we do and why we exist in a relatively new category.
- Define the brand from the ground up:
- Target audience (stage, mindset, pain points)
- Tone of voice (founderāfirst, modern, straightātalking)
- Clear differentiation in a crowded market
- Build a brand that founders feel was built for them, not a corporate service reāskin
- Define brand voice and tone
- Create messaging frameworks (homepage, service pages, sales decks, ads)
- Translate complex financial services into clear, compelling stories
- Write, edit or tightly brief copy to ensure one consistent brand voice
- Shape founderāfacing language across marketing and sales
- Design and lead campaigns that build longāterm brand equity, while supporting shortāterm growth.
- Lead brandāled campaigns: launches, thought leadership, partnerships, events
- Balance activation with longāterm brand building
- Set creative direction for campaigns across channels
- Work with freelancers or agencies for:
- Paid media (e.g. Google Ads)
- Video and content production
- Design support
- Create and maintain brand guidelines
- Act as the "brand bar" internally
- Ensure consistency across all touchpoints
- Help the team understand why the brand matters not just police it
- Work closely with the founders and leadership team.
- Translate founder vision into clear brand expression
- Push back when messaging becomes diluted or unclear
- Be comfortable with ambiguity and earlyāstage decisionāmaking
- Shape how the business shows up externally
Requirements:
- 6-10+ years' experience in brand and/or marketing roles
- Proven experience leading brand strategy and positioning
- Comfortable owning marketing as a function, not just a slice of it
- Strong commercial instincts and understands how brand supports growth
- Confident operating as a oneāperson function with external support
- Able to brief, manage and challenge agencies and freelancers
- Happy working with ambiguity and building things from scratch
- Experience in B2B, professional services, SaaS or founderāled businesses is a strong plus.
