Following the acquisition of Consult Hyperion in 2024, the consulting arm of Fime is now Consult Hyperion. Consult Hyperion’s mission is to provide subject matter expertise in the fields of Payments, Smart Mobility and Digital Identity – aligning with Fime’s existing services. Today, Consult Hyperion is providing technical expertise to clients around the world through its team of more than 100 consultants and contractors.

Fime has been expanding Consult Hyperion globally and we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Principal, based in Guildford, to grow the business and deliver exceptional consultancy services to our clients across the UK and Europe. The Principal will advise clients with technical expertise, focused on smart mobility and transport technologies, business strategy and decision-making, lead consulting teams, support sales teams in sales and presales activities and develop innovative solutions to complex business challenges.

Activities:
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of clients’ business operations, strategies, and objectives.
  • Provide technical consulting services to our clients in Smart Mobility.
  • Develop comprehensive, tailored solutions to address identified challenges and opportunities.
  • Build and lead a team of consultants.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their needs and expectations are met.
  • Provide expert guidance and leadership during projects, including risk management and decision-making.
  • Communicate complex information clearly and effectively to clients and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful delivery.
  • Support business development activities, including proposal development and client presentations.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and changes to ensure advice and solutions remain current and relevant.
  • Provide thought leadership, writing blog posts, represent the company presenting and participating in expert panels at payments conferences and industry forums.
Job Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical aspects of Smart Mobility or Payments.
  • Experience across digital identity or tolling is an advantage.
  • Solid experience in technical consulting, business consulting, or certification and testing.
  • Experience as a vendor delivering and deploying fare collection or tolling services.
  • Experience of the use of mobile wallets in fare collection systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise working within regulated industries and/or the public sector.
  • Strong track record in team management.
  • Hands-on experience in both sales and presales activities.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field.
  • Deep knowledge on payment technologies and standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present documentation and influence decision making.
  • Strong analytical skills with a structured problem-solving approach.
