Our client, a chemicals manufacturing and storage firm, seeks an Electrician to join their technical team in Greater London. The role will work with a team of engineers who will be involved in preventative maintenance of electrical works, breakdowns, repairs, fault diagnosis and instrumentation on rotating machinery and industrial process construction/operation. The role is hands-on and requires a good practical understanding of troubleshooting electrical equipment and wiring, including switchgear, actuators, sensors, and instrumentation. The firm will consider graduates from instrumentation and electrical engineering, as well as individuals who have completed electrical apprenticeships (NVQ Level 3 or above in Electrical installation or equivalent). You’ll have a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience with Wiring Regulations Qualification - BS7671 18th Edition and have a great opportunity to develop as the company continues to grow its technical team in London. Proficiency in reading and interpreting wiring schematics is essential, and the ability to test, troubleshoot and calibrate sensors measuring pressure, temperature and level.
