Fimador is currently looking for a confident DevOps engineer. Our client’s platform engineering group sits at the core of everything they build. This team designs, automates, and operates the infrastructure that powers a portfolio of high-impact products used in demanding, real-world environments. They are looking for an Engineer who thinks automation first, enjoys solving complex operational challenges, and thrives in a collaborative, delivery-focused setting. You’ll be part of a team that doesn’t just maintain infrastructure — it engineers platforms that enable development teams to move faster, safer, and more reliably.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Design, build, and maintain automated pipelines that support the full software delivery lifecycle.
- Take ownership of deployment processes, ensuring services are production-ready, stable, and supportable.
- Partner with product owners and engineering teams to translate platform and deployment needs into actionable improvements.
- Contribute actively to sprint planning, estimation, and delivery within an Agile environment.
- Troubleshoot deployment, configuration, and environment issues across development, test, and production stages.
- Manage and support applications across both cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
- Develop and refine CI/CD workflows using industry-standard tooling.
- Participate in technical reviews ranging from pipeline code to operational performance and feature readiness.
- Produce clear documentation that enables teams across the organisation to adopt platform capabilities effectively.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams on shared initiatives, tooling improvements, and platform innovation.
About you:
- Ideally a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar.
- 5+ years’ experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure role.
- Strong experience troubleshooting and supporting Java-based applications.
- Solid Linux administration experience (RHEL or equivalent).
- Hands-on expertise with Ansible and Kubernetes.
- Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
- Experience managing and automating Dev/Test/Prod environments.
- Comfortable working across cloud and on-premise systems.
- Exposure to MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
- Familiarity with Kafka and LDAP integrations.
- Experience using Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Awareness of ITIL practices and operational support models.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
