We're looking for an experienced Stores Supervisor to lead our Stores operation at our state-of-the-art headquarters on NETPark in Sedgefield, County Durham TS21 3FR.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and innovative business where you'll lead a dedicated team, drive continuous improvement and play a key role in supporting the manufacture and delivery of world-leading technology.
The Role
As Stores Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Stores team, ensuring materials are received, stored, controlled, kitted and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
Working closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement and Finance, you'll ensure materials are available when needed while maintaining excellent stock accuracy and operational performance.
You'll also support international shipments, inter-site material movements and continuous improvement activities across the department.
- What you'll be doing
- Lead, motivate and develop the Stores team.
- Allocate workloads and ensure daily priorities are achieved.
- Drive continuous improvement across Stores operations.
- Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities to improve performance.
- Maintain accurate stock records within the ERP system.
- Manage cycle counts and investigate stock discrepancies.
- Oversee goods receipt, storage, kitting and despatch activities.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments.
- Support export documentation and customs compliance.
- Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure production requirements are met.
- Promote a safe, organised and efficient working environment.
You'll have experience supervising a warehouse or stores function and enjoy leading teams to deliver excellent operational performance.
Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be advantageous.
Essential
- Previous experience supervising a warehouse or stores team.
- Strong stock control and inventory management experience.
- Experience using ERP systems.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Strong communication and people management skills.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Good understanding of, and positive attitude to warehouse health and safety.
- Must be eligible to meet UK Government Security Clearance vetting.
