Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of RF/mmW sub-circuits, sub-modules and systems within telecommunications and defence products. Take technical responsibility for RF/mmW specification, design, simulation, realisation and verification. Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers within the team. Carry out system line-up analysis, tolerance analysis and design for manufacture. Support the selection of components, ICs and MMICs, including liaison with suppliers where required. Work closely with mechanical, electronics, PCB layout, manufacturing and test teams to deliver robust product designs. Prepare and review design documentation, including design logbooks, data packs, peer reviews and design release information. Lead and participate in design reviews, identifying and managing technical risks. Support design verification and validation, including test specifications, test reports and reliability testing. Support problem solving and fault diagnosis during product introduction and production. Ensure designs are delivered in line with project technical, schedule and cost requirements.
