Software Engineer – FilmTech
Location: Remote (must have Right To Work in The UK)
Hours: 10-15 hrs per week minimum commitment

FilmTailor AI is revolutionising how Film and TV studios run pre-production. We automate everything from script breakdowns to costume design and scheduling, using our own LLM system.
We launched our MVP on July 31st 2025, and already have 120+ studios signed up, including trials with ITV, Warner Brothers and Netflix.
Now, we need a brilliant SE to join our existing team of 3 Software Engineers to help us build the next set of features for our platform.

Core Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices using .NET 8+, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework Core.
- Architect and deploy cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure using App Services, Functions, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, Blob Storage, Application Insights, and SignalR.
- Implement robust data storage strategies with PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Apply a strong understanding of asynchronous programming, RESTful API design, and distributed systems.
- Build and integrate Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using frameworks such as Semantic Kernel or LangChain, with vector databases like pgvector, Qdrant, or Pinecone.
- Write and maintain comprehensive automated tests (unit and integration) to ensure reliability and maintainability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, prototype, and productionise AI-assisted features.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD, build, and release management.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates.
- Proficiency in containerisation and deployment automation using Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, or event-driven architectures.
- Exposure to ML Ops concepts — deploying, monitoring, and maintaining AI models or pipelines in production.
