An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Healthcare Assistant to join our busy and friendly nursing team at Filey Surgery. We are looking to recruit a proactive and positive individual who will be required to deliver high quality, compassionate healthcare within their scope of practice and responsibility. The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, following standards, policies or protocols and always acting within the limits of their capability. You will be a caring and dedicated professional who is flexible and able to work independently under minimal supervision.

Our Practice Team members support the extended access rota and as such you will be required on occasion to work evening or weekend shifts. The working hours for this post are between 26 - 28 hrs per week to be worked over 3 days.

Main duties of the job include:

  • Phlebotomy
  • INR monitoring
  • BP monitoring
  • ECGs
  • wound management
