We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will assist with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure the well-being of clients. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives through personalised care and support.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and daily routines in accordance with individual care plans
- Encourage social interaction and participation in activities to promote mental well-being
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client conditions
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safety at all times
- Follow health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures
- Use IT systems to update client records and document care activities
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to adapt support accordingly
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Driving experience and a valid driving licence are advantageous for roles involving client transportation
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and team members
